Above is a tweet I made this afternoon in reaction to the fact that none of the games presented at…
A lot of those were not insulting, rude, or even aimed at you.
Can you really read that and think ugh! I am being attacked online by a troll! He said that you were exaggerating how bad the situation is, and considering you were, I wouldn’t call this a bad point. Who cares if they don’t show it at a pre-release press conference? If they’re going to show it later and create a game with it, why does it matter if it is shown now?
You have said yourself that you, as a female, are victimized by videogames, so don’t even consider that an insult. Instead of responding to his valid point, you ignored it and claimed it as a, gasp, troll!
HE LITERALLY REITERATED ONE OF YOUR POINTS IN YOUR FIRST TROPES VS. VIDEOGAMES EPISODE.
I don’t have time to go through the rest of the responses, but you deal with arguments like a child. Instead of actually responding to good points, you label every one as a troll (despite the fact that you don’t know what a troll is) and ignore them. However, you even acknowledged a few good arguments and STILL ignored them, and then continued to showcase them to your followers as if they are bad!
Who is the actual one at fault here? Most of those responses are bad, yes, but you tried to make yourself look better by showing them to everyone, even the ones that weren’t bad at all.
If you want to make your point look better, you shouldn’t be doing any of this. Most feminist gamers are much better at proving their point than you are. Unfortunately, you’re the only one who is popular enough and has enough money (after Kickstarter) to make the news and have this much publicity,
You’re making feminism, a very good cause, look horrible.
Whoah dude/dudette. You are a big time hypocrite. You are calling Anita out for supposedly ignoring posts that you claim are NOT rude or directed at her. Did you miss ALL the posts that stated phrases like “shut up”, “dumb cunt”, “bitch”, “no one cares”, etc? Those are pretty personal, and pretty damn insulting. Last time I checked, “cunt” wasn’t a term of endearment. Why is stating that there are no female protagonists making a big deal out of something? It’s just pointing something out. Jesus fucking christ.
